+1 House

Keen to encourage neighborhood density as well as create an investment opportunity, the initial brief for a single family home evolved into two compact adjoining dwellings, one to be kept and the other sold. Through a combination of large and narrow courtyards, the two houses become concealed havens. Refreshingly removed from the busy urban context, these retreats remain light-filled with views to nature.

Location Richmond, Victoria

Stage Under Construction

+1 House is located in an inner city suburb composed of an eclectic mix of old Victorian terraces, weatherboard workers cottages and contemporary architectural homes that have been gradually weaving their way into the surrounding area.
